HB 486 Passes the House

HB 486 passed the House today. (73 for - 24 against).  The next step for HB 486 is to be heard in the Senate Health and Welfare committee.  We will post details about the hearing as soon as they are available. 

In the meantime, all NPs whose Senator is on the Senate Health & Welfare Committee, we ask that you please contact your legislator in support of HB 486 via the LANP Advocacy Action Center. 

Please note, that because the bill will follow a similar process through the Senate, if you have already contacted a legislator on the House side, it is essential for you to also contact your legislator on the Senate side.

HB 486– Rep. Robert Johnson's bill (attached) is scheduled for House Floor debate on Tuesday, April 28th at 2pm.  If you haven't already, we ask that you please contact your legislator in support of HB 486 via the LANP Advocacy Action Center as soon as possible.

This week, HB 486 passed House Health & Welfare committee.
