Survey Request for Scholarly Project

Dear Nurse Practitioner recipient,

You are being invited to participate in a research survey by Rein T. Liles (FNP Student) and Dr. Sattaria Dilks, DNP from McNeese State University's graduate school of nursing. This research survey will be conducted to obtain a better understanding of the prescriptive preferences and perceptions of local nurse practitioners on the use of novel oral anticoagulant drugs as a viable alternative to warfarin therapy in treating clients with non-valve-related atrial fibrillation. You were selected to participate in this study based on your active membership in the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners. We ask that you must be a Licensed Nurse Practitioner to partake in this survey. We anticipate on collecting data for this survey for approximately 14 days, with a respondent feedback goal of at least 50 participants.

A 10-point questionnaire will be attached to this invitation. We ask that it be completed and submitted by March 31. To complete this survey, please click on the link provided at the bottom of the page, answer each of the questions, and once completed select "done" at the bottom of the questionnaire. This survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. The information received will be kept strictly confidential and properly discarded once the project has reached completion.

It is important to understand that you are under no obligation to participate in this survey. If you decide to decline participation, no penalty from the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Louisiana State Board of Nursing, or McNeese State University will be imposed. By your participation in this study, as evidenced by your feedback, implied consent will be obtained.
