REMINDER! Comments Requested for LSBME Draft Rules

The Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners have approved a revised version of its draft rules that govern physicians who engage in collaborative practice with advanced practice registered nurses. 

Please review the attached rules carefully and contact Lisa Bayhi at lisabayhi@gmail.com or Tari Dilks at taridilks@suddenlink.net with comment regarding how these rules would impact your practice.

It is important to note that these rules have NOT been put into effect as of yet.  LSBME must publish them in the Louisiana Register and post when a public hearing will be held.  It is important that you and your collaborators who would find these rules onerous contact LSBME and/or show up to the public hearing when it occurs.  We at LANP will notify you when that meeting is posted.

Please send in your comments within the next two weeks.  We will be meeting with impacted organizations in the near future and it will be helpful to have your comments at that time.
