NO Care is better than NP Care

Does that subject line make your blood boil? It should. That statement is so degrading to the great work that you do everyday and the care that you provide to Louisianans. Yep, that was a recent line from those opposed to removing barriers to NP practice in Louisiana. But, I expect that kind of rhetoric from the opposition. What bothers me most is the laissez-faire attitude of many NPs in Louisiana. That has to change! YOU (yes you -- state your name) MUST get involved.
Believe me, I know how hard it is to maintain momentum and keep the fire burning. Honestly, it is exhausting. But then I hear from a patient, or an NP about their struggles, and it renews my determination. When a LANP member tells me how much they appreciate what LANP does and how it has impacted their practice and care for their patients, I am renewed and encouraged. And I know that I must keep going. I must keep working. Louisiana patients and NPs deserve better.
