Health Policy Update
Election qualifying closed yesterday afternoon. The races are now set for an October 12 primary and November 16 general for those who don’t win outright in the primary. With almost 60 legislators term limited, this will be an important election. In addition, the legislators who win seats in 2019 will determine how Louisiana is redistricted based on the new census. All statewide elected officials drew at least one opponent, however, there were almost 50 unopposed legislative candidates elected.
To see specific races please visit the Secretary of State’s website:  https://voterportal.sos.la.gov/CandidateInquiry
As elections develop, please look for additional information. Plan to stay involved in the races in your local parish. If you have candidates who you have relationships with, please send us that information for reference purposes. It will aid us in determining who to is supportive and how we can build additional relationships.
It's Time to Go  Green  Louisiana!
Help LANP 'Fill the Boot' to support our #2020Vision towards reducing barrier to practice. We can only have a political presence through your giving. We have quite a challenge before us and know that gaining FPA and removing other barriers is going to take the collective efforts of all NPs in our state.
Please take a moment to determine the level of giving that you are comfortable with and DONATE now!
You can donate by clicking the link below or use our Text to Give number, included below.
All donors will be recognized at our Annual Conference as follows:
Gators - $1-$499
Pelicans - $500 - $999
Saints - $1000 +
