Important Information Regarding NP Day at the Legislature

Posted about 8 years ago by Rebecca Thibodaux

**2nd notice - in case you missed it!**

For those planning to attend NP Day at the Legislature, please read the following information carefully as there are some important changes to note.

Because our bill (SB187) is being heard tomorrow in committee, our plans for the day will be a little different than we anticipated. We appreciate your patience and flexibility.

Instead of meeting for the pre-function update at the Capitol Welcome Center, we are now asking for everyone to meet in the Capitol Rotunda located at the top of the steps, through the front entrance doors of the Capitol between 8:00 – 8:30 am.

The Senate Health & Welfare Committee Hearing will begin at 9:00am in the John J. Hainkel, Jr. Room.

After the committee hearings, we will be breaking everyone into groups to advocate for the bill. We are asking that you be prepared to meet with your legislators.  We will have talking points available to assist.

We will also still offer the Health Policy Update (the CE portion) during the afternoon.

And at the end of the day, the Health Policy Committee will have a brief discussion about the events of the day and answer any question from attendees.

Dress is business casual, but don't forget to wear your lab coats. Parking is available in the designated visitor parking area along the river.

It is not too late to attend! If you can make it, we encourage you to meet us at the Capitol. The more NPs we have present, the better!  We hope to see you tomorrow!

If you have any questions, please contact us at office@lanp.org or 225-293-7950.
