LANP NP Day at the Legislature
* All Nurse Practitioners Welcome * RSVP Today!
NP Day at the Legislature provides an opportunity for advanced practice nurses to talk with legislators from their community about the important role of the nursing profession and its impact on healthcare in Louisiana. At NP Day, nurses are able to attend committee hearings at the Capitol and network with colleagues and legislators.
Based on member feedback, this year, we are taking NP Day up a notch! We are contacting registrants, in advance, to schedule appointments with their legislators or at the very least, to notify their legislators that they will be in the Capitol on March 30th to represent Nurse Practitioners. We are also adding a pre-function health policy update at the Capitol Park Welcome Center in Downtown Baton Rouge. LANP is approved for 2 CE credits from AANP for this pre-function session. This session accommodates up to 60 attendees and will be first come, first serve!
Click on the agenda tab (above) for more details.
Dress is business casual, but don't forget to wear your lab coats! In addition to parking at the Chase Tower, parking is available in the designated visitor parking area along the river.
Register now to attend and ask your colleagues to join us!
